Explore how it fosters strength\, grace\, and inner harmony. \nAbout the artist \nRaam Kumar is a Kalaripayatt performer and instructor from Kerala. He is also a contemporary dancer\, choreographer and physical theatre performer for over 18 years. He is the great-grandson of Veera Shree C. V. Narayanan Nair\, who re-established Kalaripayatt – the traditional martial art of Kerala. And the grandson of C. V. Govindan Kutty Nair\, the founder of CVN Kalari Sangham and Kerala Kalaripayatt Association. \nCVN Kalari\, Trivandrum\, was established in 1956\, coinciding with the formation of the state of Kerala. This pioneering institution was the first traditional school offering training in northern-style Kalaripayatt in southern Kerala. It brings together artists\, educators\, enthusiasts and practitioners of the arts and culture\, in a series of conversations\, performances and interactive sessions. \nJoin the coming session\, a conversation with Geetha Navale\, a Carnatic Classical Veena Player\, Music Educator and Cross cultural music Collaborator\, followed by a performance of the duo Geetha and Gopal Navale. \nThe conversation with Geetha will explore how music inspires creativity to connect to inspiration and beauty that can allow us to transcend the mundane\, and how can we express this inspiration in our lives in our own unique way. Namma Culture Circle is an initiative of New Acropolis\, a school of Philosophy in the classical manner\, where we endeavour to implement philosophy in our daily lives\, beyond mere intellectual understanding. \n*Number of seats is limited\, first come first served\n\n\nAbout the artists :\nVeena Vidhushi Geetha Navale\, is a disciple of the art and has trained under renowned Gurus Sri J.Anjaneyulu the Vice principal of Hyderabad music college and the legendary Sri R.K.Suryanarayan. Geetha has performed in various venues\, from the temples in Malleswaram to jazz clubs in Manhattan. \nGopal Navale professes he is from the ‘Grateful Dead’ Gharana. Currently a keen student of Classical Carnatic music\, a vocalist\, a flutist and a mandolin player rolled into one. \nGeetha and Gopal Navale are the founders of the residential world music centre\, Guruskool. They also run a music project called Esperanto\, a collaboration of musicians from diverse backgrounds and cultures to create and perform together music across the world. They also run a free art and music movement known as the Freedom Jam. \n  \nRegister here
